37signals and “polski akcent”

Some time ago I wrote about Ruby and sprawa polska. Well today, in Polish: the Series about other saying: “polski akcent”. It is idiom, which has roots related to polish public television (TVP). To be exact – TVP’s sports commentators, football (soccer) especially… All this wonderful, brilliant and fun sentences (we all here love Dariusz Szpakowski ;-))) ). So basically “polski akcent” means “polish accent”, and in times when polish national football team (and polish clubs also) had no significant achievements, during TV transmissions from World Cup or Champions League commentators were looking for ‘polski akcent’, like referee from Poland (oooh that would be huge accent) or more ridiculous ones like referee who had been in Poland or any other relation (even very, very small one) to Poland.

Well, so I have found such “polski akcent” related to my favorite topic – Ruby on Rails/Ruby/37signals/etc… Recently 37signals have very good press (I’m sure behind this is hard work, such things does not happen by accident) and one of this is video published on Apple site (37signals shop is well known as Apple technology user). If You watch it, about half minute before the end, You can see Defensive Design for the Web books laying on the table. English, Spanish, Japanese/Chineese (I do not recognize which one :) ) and, lo and behold, Polish editions.

UPDATE
I was told it is Italian not Spanish edition. Right.
